NOAA Teacher at Sea Program
During the summer of 2011, I was selected to participate as a Teacher at Sea aboard the NOAA vessel Oregon II. I worked 12-hour shifts assisting fisheries biologists with collecting data on marine life in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Read about this amazing experience in my blog .

In 2011, I was one of 50 educators, selected from a pool of more than 4,000 applicants, to participate in an intensive one week STEM training at Discovery
Channel Headquarters in Washington DC. During this time, we learned some of the latest trends in technology, heard from nationally recognized speakers including
a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and formed an amazing professional network of educators from across the nation.
